An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
